The
central Pacific beaches of Costa Rica are within a few hours drive of the
capital city of San Jose. A scenic drive along the Costanera highway brings
you to Tarcoles or Punta Leona. You can easily take a day-trip tour to the
Carara National Park, where visitors are awed by the size of the crocodiles
and amazed by the beauty of the Scarlet Macaw population here.
The Los Suenos resort in Herradura Bay, with its luxury hotels and yacht
berths at the marina, provides every amenity that the upscale traveler could
desire. A bit further south, let down your hair at Jaco Beach - known for
its surfing and intense nightlife. Playa Hermosa is a quieter neighborhood
with nice homes for rent and cabins at the beach.
The famous city of Quepos is the gateway to Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio National Park,
with its beautiful beaches and miles of hiking trails. You will find plenty
of ocean view real estate developments, gated communities and residential
areas all along the Costanera, with plenty of investment opportunity left
in the Dominical, Portalon and Matapalo Beach areas.
The
southern coast of Costa Rica is dominated by the Osa Peninsula and the Golfo
Dulce. Sierpe and Drake's Bay are the access points for boat trips around
the northern Osa Peninsula and into its famous landmark, Corcovado National
Park. You can also choose from many remote hotels and lodges along the southern
coast of the Osa, by taking a boat taxi across the Golfo Dulce from Golfito
to Puerto Jimenez.
