There
are many name brand rental car agencies in Costa Rica, and you will also
find several smaller companies that are quite reputable. Renting a car in
Costa Rica is quite expensive, primarily due to large insurance costs and
import duties on cars.
There are two primary airlines in Costa Rica, Sansa and Nature Air. But don't
forget that there are quite a few private pilots and air charter companies
with small planes. These can be quite reasonable in terms of cost, especially
if you are traveling in a group, or your vacation plans don't fit with any
of the regularly scheduled flights.
