Surfing
in Costa Rica has become very popular because of the warm Pacific
waters,
the excellent waves, and the relative emptiness of the beaches. No
California
or Hawaii crowds here; just you, the waves and pristine beaches.
Each
little beach town has a small surf shop somewhere hidden in the jungle
close
by the sand. In the larger tourist areas, you will find instructors,
lessons
and surf camps available at many hotels. The more secluded beaches
generally
have a few locals around to give you advice on the waves.
